Ustream + WildEarth

WildEarth is super excited to announce our partnership with Ustream.tv

For the next few months WildEarth will be exclusively re-broadcasting our LIVE streams on the Ustream platform (as well as at wildearth.tv of course). Many of you have been watching some of our broadcasts on Justin.tv, YouTube and DailyMotion, but for a while these will not be active. The idea is to work exclusively with Ustream to build a large audience of LIVE wildlife viewers together.

Ustream and the Raptor Resource Project broke records in the past few months with the now world famous Decorah Eagles webcam. We hope to do even better with Ustream's new multi-view, which allows you to switch from one WildEarth stream to another right inside the player!
So please make sure to tell all your friends, 'join the crowd', Tweet and 'Like' our broadcasts. Lets see if we can build a really large audience of LIVE wildlife fans on Ustream.

As many of you already know WildEarth was very proud to launch and host Pete's Pond at Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana and equally proud to bring back the Djuma waterhole cam with Djuma Game Reserve in South Africa. These streams, along with our twice daily LIVE safaris will be available at Ustream.tv as well. There are also 3 x PixController cams and Penguin Point from the National Aviary. Soon Operation Migration's 'ground cam' will be starting up again, which will be followed by the exceptional flight cam where you can fly along with the Whooping cranes as they migrate across America.

The two waterhole cams are now being controlled by our dedicated global team of volunteer 'zoomies' around the clock. This team are also Tweeting all sightings on the WildEarth Twitter account: @wildearth

Sorry Graham but I think that stinks, JTV is the only one with a large screen, ustream screen is very small compared to JTV. It also doesn't give us any time to let regular viewers that are away on holiday know where we will be if it's closing down tomorrow :( Can you please at least leave the room open so the mods can leave a message in there ?

You can pop out the play on Ustream and resize it to your liking.

agree. JTV is a much better place to view. Ustream is way too small. if that wasn't bad enough we have to watch sporadic feed and every time you lose feed you have to sit through the new intro that goes on and on. Now that is the only choice.
Glad the PM drives are back. Too bad we can't see them clearly now

This is just wrong.. JTV has been the best place for friends to meet and chat while watching the drive on WE and or JTV their choice.. I think you are going to lo loose some people watching if you take it of JTV because honestly Ustream is lousey.. worse than JTV ever was..

Sorry, this is just not going to work for me. JTV is a much better than Ustream. I rely on the past videos to see any of the drives because my schedule does not allow me to see them in real time. If you get the archives working on Wildearth.tv then I may be back; otherwise I am just going to find something else to do with my time.

JTV has 52,112 followers of Wildearth. These people should be considered. We all understand that we can watch this for free but that is a lousy excuse for a lack of consideration on the part of Wildearth. These viewers have generated ad revenue and visitors to Djuma. I don't understand where your vision is leading without your loyal viewers. Do we tell our friends not to get too loyal as it's only one-sided?

I hate to see you leave Justintv. It is a place where iPhone/iPad users can watch and chat. Using the justin tv app. I use the Justin tv app for the WE safari, Hornby Eagles, and other WE cams. If you use ustream, then please make sure the WE cams will be broadcast on the ustream app for iPhone/iPad. (I think this may require some producers to use ustream producer.). The last time i checked, the only WECam available on the ustream app was Pete's Pond. If this is not to be done, please get an app out soon for the WECams for iPad/iPhone users.
